Description

-Repairs vehicles/equipment/machinery by performing the following duties and must be able to crawl under or climb in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspections.
-Repairs, removes and replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment or machinery.
-Disassembles, repairs, removes and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes and clutches of vehicles, equipment or machinery.
-Tunes, adjusts and regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors and other mechanical components with variable settings.
-Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate records of such service.
-Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed.
-Assists in training less experienced employees on the proper servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
-Perform general labor duties when necessary.
-May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside your craft to assist others as required.

Salary ranges from $15-$32/hour.

MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING., Must be willing to travel., Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment which includes long hours., Must be capable of strenuous physical exertion and lifting heavy items., Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions., Must be able to multi-task and accommodate multiple requests effectively., Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team., Must be able to communicate well with management, crew and project owners’ representatives., Must have the appropriate tools of the trade.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills are required.
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
A valid and current NYS DOT Welder Certification Card for Flat and Vertical is required.
Driver's License:
A valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) Class A or B is preferred., CDL Endorsements for Air Brake, Tanker and Hazardous Materials are a plus., Must have valid driver's license, good driving record required., May require certification for certain types of truck repairs.
Operations Experience:
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics is required.
